What's happening?

Joe Pardue No one has yet commented about bailing on last month's meeting without telling the rest of us that they were going to a meeting with the Knox Makers group. The six of us who did show up were very disappointed that we weren't informed and thus did not have the opportunity to attend that other event. The announcement, just hours before the meeting was not sufficient since several of us were already on the road by then. This is not the way to make a group come together. Jesse, Billy, Butch - you need to comment about this

Jay Flanders The timing of this change really sucks! Some of us travel an hour or so to attend these meetings. Less than two hours notice is not adequate. I just hope that Dave Harshman who drives over two hours to attend wasn't coming to the meeting. Actually, the meeting wasn't cancelled. It is just that some of our members went somewhere else.

jesse Apparently interest is low in a meeting this month so we are going to cancel it. Billy, Butch, and myself are going to the CNC event at the knoxmakers facility in Oak Ridge.

Billy Huddleston Update on the Club Bot. I have ROS talking with the motor controller. We have movement! Trying to tune the PID loop... OMG.. I hate trying to tune PID.. I have NO idea how to make it stop oscillating.. Anyone have any tips on PID tuning?

Billy Huddleston Hey Guys, Just want to give you a update on the Club bot. I now have the PC mounted in the case and working! I also have a Encoder Shield that works in conjunction with the motor shield we already have on the Arduino mega and some libraries for ROS. I'm trying to double check the functionality of the Kinect sensor.. I had it apart for a long while and just re-assembled it.. The normal camera works.. Getting some funkiness on the IR Camera.. But, that could just be my office and being such close proximity to it.. If any of you have a Kinect, can you bring it Tuesday so we can compare ? Want to make sure I didn't break this one.
